History
When two brothers started a small retail bakery together in 1979, they never imagined that one day, Kangaroo Brands, Inc. would supply more supermarkets Deli-Bakery than any other brand of pita pocket bread in the United States of America.

It began in their hometown Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a family bakery committed to producing the finest pita pocket breads. This strong legacy continues today, in addition to, baked all natural pita chips and premade sandwiches.

Vice President and Owner George Kashou put it best, “Kangaroo Brands is one of few remaining family businesses in a food world dominated by giant companies...We like it that way, for we can make decisions that reflect our commitment to producing the highest quality and most innovative products in the pita category. And, we don't have to please Wall Street!"
